Step One – Apply for Membership
 
To Apply for Membership:
Complete the application for membership: New Member Application
Submit the complete application to either your Sponsor, or to Miles McCall (our club membership chair) at mmccall@cbtx.com
Pay your $150 application fee to the Rotary Accountant Cathie Walner.
 
Step Two - New Member Orientation - Red Badge Program
 
This program is designed for you to learn more about Rotary and for us, as a club, to learn more about you! We believe this helps you become more involved in the club and get the most out of your membership. Keep your Sponsor and Membership Chair involved on the status of your progress as you work through this program.
 
In order to move through the Red Badge Program you will need to choose any 4 of the action items listed below to complete:
  • Give a classification talk to the club
  • Join a committee within the club
  • Participate in a Service Project
  • Participate in a fundraiser
  • Be a Greeter for 4 weeks
  • Attend a Board of Directors Meeting
  • Attend another club’s meeting
  • Bring a guest to a McKinney Rotary Club meeting (or social or Community Service Event)
In addition to working through the 3 items of your choice you will also work with your Membership Sponsor, our Red Badge Coordinator and Club Membership Chair to set up a few orientation meetings where you will have the opportunity to learn more about both our Club's and Rotary’s rich history.
 
Step 3 – Installation
 
The Membership Director will then work with you and your Club President to schedule your installation as an OFFICIAL Member of the McKinney Rotary Club and Rotary International!
 
The McKinney Rotary year is from July-June
 
Annual Dues $1,000
Dues may be paid in full by June 1st each year or can be broken down into quarterly payments.
Annual dues include lunch and invoices will be sent by the Club Accountant.
 
Rotary International Foundation: $140/year Voluntary Donation
We encourage all members to support The Rotary Foundation each year with a $140/year gift. Many of our members set up an automatic giving schedule by clicking Rotary Foundation Donate and selecting the DONATE NOW button. Members may also choose to pay yearly/quarterly with annual dues.
 
Attendance
Rotary International encourages but no longer requires 50% attendance at club meetings. Participation in committee meetings, service projects and makeup meetings with our club are all credited towards your attendance, so you will have ample opportunity to meet that goal. Many Rotarians strive for 100% attendance and with the ability to earn makeup meetings, this is an attainable goal. 
 
Rotarian Transfer
Rotarians move, change jobs, and occasionally just need to find a new Club to call home! For our Transfer Members our process requires you to fill out the Membership Application and then work with our Membership Chair to make sure that we facilitate that transfer and give you the opportunity to retain your history and data with MyRotary. We also encourage our Transfer Members to complete 3 of the Red Badge Program, coordinate with the Membership Chair an opportunity to attend an orientation meeting and learn about the rich history of the McKinney Rotary Club.
